I had the opportunity to design a parking deck in my old hood Gropiusstadt in Berlin-Neukölln according to my ideas and in this way leave something of myself there once again.

THE MISSION
LEAVE SOMETHING BEHIND IN THE OLD HOOD
 The project was about designing the walls of the driveways in the entire parking garage. When I was asked if I wanted to take part, I hoped that it would be the parking deck where we shot some scenes for our music video “G.Town” in 2012. And indeed it was. It was exactly this parking garage in Berlin-Neukölln-Gropiusstadt. When we inspected and selected the areas, it was immediately clear to me where I wanted to paint. And why not paint all the areas of the parking deck? No sooner said than done.

FREEDOM
DO WHAT I WANT TO DO
There weren't really any specifications or guidelines from the organizers (die dixons) for the design, so I decided to just have fun and do what I felt like doing. I grabbed all the started and almost empty cans from the materials room and bombed the parking deck with graffiti. In my opinion, tags, throw-ups and small bombing styles in various scenarios brought exactly the vibrancy to this urban space that it needed.
On the side wall of the left house (the orange one) I immortalized the names of all the artists and organizers who were involved in this project (see gallery below).
